As part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations this year, the school came up with this brilliant idea of putting together a Musical Show on the 13th, 14th, 15th and 16th October 2016, which would give our students a platform to showcase their talents and which would trace the history of Goa, a concept very close to many a heart! The script was the brainchild of Ms. Amita Mascarenhas, the music was arranged and conducted by Mrs. Nayantara D'Lima Letao and the whole show fell under the direction of Mrs. Arundathi Chattopadhyaya and Ms. Keya D'Souza. The musical traced the beginning of our verdant state of Goa from the legend of Lord Parashurama to post liberation Goa and then moving into the evolution of Sharada Mandir School's 50 glorious years of contribution and dedication to providing premium education facilities in the state. Music and dance were interspersed at every scene, ensuring vibrancy and artistry at its best from all participants. Right from folk dances like the Dhalo and Ghode Modni to a Goan rendition of Billy Joel's We Didn't Start the Fire to Dance-o-Philia's heart pumping - feet thumping choreography set to A.R Rehman's Jai Ho, there was something to take away for every member of the audience. |
